Members of the Lake of the Woods School Alumni Foundation are working closely with school staff, students, and administration to develop a list of needs and priorities. Donations have been received in a variety of designated areas:
- Academics ~ to support and sustain our tradition of excellence in Academics. A portion of the donations to the Academic Fund are being used to purchase software and books to be shared between our new All Day/Every Day Kindergarten classrooms.
- Arts ~ to support and sustain our tradition of excellence in Arts
- Athletics ~ to support and sustain our tradition of excellence in Athletics
- Foundation Development ~ to fund printing and postage costs of brochures and other mailings, to maintain the Alumni Foundation website, and to aid in conducting fundraisers to benefit the school
- Sherry Ausmus Memorial Fund ~ designated by the family for use in the Elementary Music program and for needs in the school auditorium. A portion of the donations to the Sherry Ausmus Memorial Fund are being used to start a Music Library of CDs and DVDs for use with students K-12.
- Wally Olds Memorial Fund ~ designated by the family for use in support of the Lake of the Woods School hockey program. A portion of the donations to the Wally Olds Memorial Fund are being used to purchase a skate sharpener for the school hockey program.
- Art Anderson Memorial Fund ~ designated by the family for use in support of the Lake of the Woods School football program.
